Running a food van since 2009, hard-working self-made woman Jacinta from Lady Latte decided to undertake her next big venture - her very own cafe. Doors swung open on 2 November 2016 at their permanent spot in Scarborough and as per Jacinta's characteristic momentum, it's full steam ahead from here.

The new Lady Latte chef certainly knows their way around a kitchen and the categorized menu is a strong testament to this (categorized menus make my cold, OCD heart sing!). You can order from menus including A La Carte, Gourmet Jaffles, For the Young Ones (specifically for the ankle biters), and naturally, the Drinks. There is a full, substantial page of drinks including a wide range of Emma & Toms juices and sparkles, smoothies, milkshakes, Kombuchas and all the coffee your heart could desire. The full menu is available here .

But first, coffee! I ordered my usual Affogatto and the dearly beloved ball-and-chain opted for his usual being an Iced Mocha. My espresso was fresh, vibrant and skilfully topped with a thick crema. Delicious!

Moving onto the savoury goods, next was the Sweet Potato Rosti. I love how sweet potato is elbowing its way into the spotlight for carbohydrates as a feel-good, 'healthy' alternative to normal potato: all the indulgence, none of the guilt. This dish is all about the sneaky indulgence. There were two sizeable portions of sweet potato rosti hiding underneath all that rocket and cherry tomato salad. The balsamic glaze and carefully poached eggs with delectably runny yolks perfectly complemented the dish by tying it all together.

The Paris, Je T'Aime (translated: Paris, I Love You) Jaffle is absolutely stuffed to capacity with Nutella, marshmallows and raspberries and then topped with toasted hazelnuts and shaved milk chocolate. It's like biting into a cloud and equal parts soft, sweet and tangy goodness making love to the inner cavity of your mouth.

On top of the fully serviced venue, Lady Latte also still operate their fully-equipped coffee in and around Perth catering to sports carnivals, school fetes, real estate auctions, festivals and fairs, birthday parties, weddings, markets, workplace functions, you name it. The Lady Latte van also still regularly appears at the Stirling Farmers Markets every Sunday morning. You can find more information about the food truck here .

Plus, they're open on Australia Day if you need get your hands on your daily fix, so round up the kiddies, hog all the free Wi-Fi and treat yourself (coffee and caramel slice for $9.00 - you're welcome).
