A stay at home Mum who doesn't stay at home much; too many exciting things to be discovering in this city...
Party on down to Docklands for a great night out
The Lady Cutler Showboat is a luxury cruising vessel which is berthed at Central Pier in Docklands. She was built in 1968 and was named after the wife of the NSW Governor at that time. The Lady Cutler operated in Sydney Harbour going to and from Circular Quay and provided twenty-two years of service ferrying passengers around the harbour.
In 2007, she came to Melbourne to be completely refurbished by new owners and is now into her second decade of cruising the rivers and bays of Melbourne. Her location in the Docklands provides dramatic city skylines as well as bars and clubs providing the ideal place for a celebration or get together. The Lady Cutler Showboat can safely take between 60 and 350 people out on the water for an evening of fun and entertainment. If you fancy taking a cruise on her, you will find a finely dressed boat crew delivering service to a very high standard. The management staff is experienced in producing themed events and shows and has a couple of really fun-sounding themed dance nights coming up.
If you love the music and fashions of the '60s and '70s and the impressive shoulder pads of the 80s one of these dance cruises could be right up your street. Choose from theSwinging 60s & Stellar 70s and 80s Cruiseon Saturday 24th August, or the Totally 80s Dress Up Cruiseon Friday 25th October. For both of these cruises, boarding time is at 7pm with the vessel leaving dock at 7.30pm. You will enjoy a three-hour cruise through Docklands, Williamstown Bay, St Kilda and Port Melbourne whilst you shimmy and shake your stuff on the dance floors to DJs and a live band (the live band - The Flares - is only available on the first of these two cruises). There will be food and drink available to purchase from the fully stocked bar in addition to your ticket which will cost $45.
