Approximately two kilometres from Normanville's town centre is the grand Lady Bay Resort . Whether you're a golf enthusiast or not, I reckon this holiday accommodation is worth checking out. We stayed two nights recently and could not be happier. Our experience began with a friendly welcome at reception. We were given the keys to our suite plus all the relevant information such as dinner specials, day spa bookings, gym use, etc.

Our standard king spa suite was located on level two. A short drive led us directly to its carpark, hence avoiding the need to manoeuvre any stairs. The suite had a spacious living area with a private balcony, a separate bedroom with a king bed and a bathroom with a large corner spa. Both the lounge and bedroom were fitted with a television each. The microwave and tea/coffee making facilities catered to our needs too. But, best of all, we enjoyed the stunning views over the golf course and ocean.

Designed by golfing legends, the golf course is one of the finest in South Australia. It is also recognised nationally sitting inside the top 100 of Australia's golf courses. A golfing trip here would give you the feeling of a country holiday escape. You'll even be playing amongst the kangaroos.

At the day spa, you'll be able to indulge in refreshing massages with skilled therapists. A comprehensive list of treatments is available here . Bookings are essential and preferable in advance ahead of your stay.

As for dining, the specials are rather superb. Two-for-one nights offer a Sri Lankan curry, fish and chips and a beef bourguignon every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday respectively. If you happen to be staying on a different night, do have a look at their full menu here . You can expect the recognisable classics as well as salads, wraps, burgers, pizzas, pasta and so on. The restaurant is open for lunch between 12pm and 3pm and dinner from 5:30pm.

Lady Bay Resort can be found at 73 St Andrews Boulevard in Normanville, just under 90 90-minute drive from Adelaide. As you enter the township, turn left towards Cape Jervis and then take another left at the signs. Overall, we had a luxurious experience, and I'm sure you will too during your visit.
