I am a copywriter and cake eater with a funny name squeezing delight from life in the Perth Hills with two invigorating teenagers, a cyclone of a toddler, and some geese.

What would make a teenager think circus was cool?
When you have three children between the ages of 5 and nearly 18, you've seen your fair share of circus.
So, giggling and gasping through this show was a nice surprise.
In this show, they deliver a diverse selection of women, ropes, silks, and tricks. There's a lot of gravity-defying and incredible flexibility - as you'd expect - but then tempered with some truly comedic moments from one of the funniest circus performers I've seen fly through the air.
She was awkward, with impeccable timing, flawless character, skills to burn, and an ease on the intimate stage that makes the audience completely comfortable chuckling with (at?) her.
The show is M rated, but I took my nearly 15-year-old and she adored it - and why wouldn't you want your daughter to witness this collection of strong, funny, talented, brave, quirky, and determined women!
Ladies of the Big Top is showing in Fringe World's Fremantle Circus WA Big Top event location and is on right now until 3rd February. After that, you'll have to fly to New Zealand to catch them. But get yourself there before they go - there's even a pop-up bar, and bonus points for the juggling balls and hula hoops available in the outside area, so you can test your skills.
