For the people out there who have a gluten free diet or are lactose intolerant but still likes a good dessert, this home-made warm gluten free and lactose apple pie will satisfy your cravings.

Simple steps and ingredients include the following:
Ingredients
1 Gluten free, egg free, dairy free pie crust
2 apples
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp starch
1 tbsp honey, melted
Grates of orange zest
Pinch of salt
Serve with whipped cream
Method
1) Roll out enough pie crust to fill the bottom and sides of a tin pie shell(the tin pie shell should be about 5 inches diameter). Drape it gently inside the pie pan.
2) Repeat, with a second pie shell (this will be the top of your pie, but let it rest inside another pie shell to make the form).
3) Put both shells in the fridge.
4) Peel and slice the apples into bite sized pieces. Toss with the cinnamon and honey. Sprinkle over the zest and starch and toss to mix thoroughly. Pack the apples into the bottom pie shell.
5) Flip the second shell overtop and let the crust drop on top of the apple filling. Cut air vents in the pie. Sprinkle over the top sugar.
6) Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
Served with whipped cream.
