Labassa is a grand old mansion which was designed by JAB Koch and built between 1863 and 1890. It was a residence to many prosperous families until 1920, it was then used for parties in the 1930's and 1940's and for fundraising for the Red Cross Comfort Fund during the Second World War until it later became an enclave for artists in the 1960s and 1970s.
Tours are available of the mansion at 11am and 2.30pm and will guide you around the interior of the house giving you an appreciation of the opulence of the 19th Century interior of the mansion.
