Fabio and his brother Mauro have been around La Spaghettata all their lives; playing in the back room while mum and dad Tony and Giovanna got on with running their restaurant. Later, from the age of 14, the boys used to work on and off at the restaurant. Now it's time for them to take care of business, and this they do well. They have revamped the decor, redesigned and painted, to keep the restaurant current, and still manage to showcase and keep a hold of family traditions.

La Spaghettata has been around for over 41 years and has been owned by the current owners for 31 of those years. They serve only fresh and authentic Italian cuisine and with an 85% rating on Urbanspoon, thats nothing to sniff at. Their menu has not changed in all these years. Why mess with perfection. They have generations of customers and celebrities coming in especially to eat those nostalgic dishes that bring back memories of happy times the last time they were there. Lucky for them, the same chefs have been around from 10 to 20 years to cook them the same consistently good food, just like they remember.

During the evening, La Spaghettata screens all things Italian on the wall, be it scenes of Italy, fashion or Sophia Loren. They also do a regular newsletter which sits in a folder much like a menu, to keep the customers entertained and informed. This is Fabio's domain as he loves being creative, and no wonder. Hes been a professional dancer for most of his life dancing for places like the Australian Opera, Disney, Channel 7 and 9, the Logies and so on. Being creative keeps him engaged with his finger on the pulse to continue the family tradition of hospitality and family love they give to all their customers.

The place is kid friendly and they generally have crayons and colouring books to keep the children happy. They also welcome bookings for events and celebrations at their restaurant at no charge.
