[ADVERT]Welcome to La Quinta. Please take a seat while we wait for the rest of the group to arrive.

Tonight we get to experience this 'little bit of Mexico' in Bulimba on Oxford Street. You'll always feel good when you come here, as the bright and vibrant colours alone, typically representative of Mexico and Latin America, will make you feel 'alive'.

The food menu is hot and spicy or calm and collective, your choice. They are typical Mexican selections with all fresh ingredients and flavoursome combinations. La Quinta provides a variety of dishes to represent different regions of Mexico. This is what makes the difference.

Some examples of their taco fillings alone include:
Chicken with roasted pineapples and chipotle chillies,
Crumbed fish, lime aioli, fresh salsa, lettuce,
Shredded beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese, salsa,
Baked black beans, pico de gallo and queso,
Chorizo, jalapeno and pickled cabbage.

For 4 or more people you have the choice of banquets.

Click here to see the full menu.

The drinks menu boasts traditional margaritas, tequila sunrises, a selection of cocktails and imported beers from Mexico, Cuba, Spain, Jamaica, Peru and more. Non-alcoholic drinks are available as well. Pretty good selection, don't you think? By the way, although it is fully licensed, you can BYO wine only.

Take your seat at 1/189 Oxford Street, Bulimba and "espero que disfrute su comida" (translated to; "I expect that you will enjoy your food.")

A shame you had that experience. However yes it can be a bit noisy depending on what day you go, I expect that with most mexican restaurants and in particular with restaurants in 'busy little strips'. Earlier in the week is good if you are trying to avoid this. I have been a couple of times and know others who have been a few times also. We really like the food. Urban spoon is a good place to look public opinions. Hopefully you addressed the 'piece of meat in your food with the owner.

I tried this restaurant based on your review and had a very different experience. It was so noisy we couldn't hear ourselves talk; our food arrived in less than 5 minutes, before the drinks; the meals looked impressive but were bitterly disappointing - there was a piece of meat in my vegetarian meal and everything tasted like it came from a packet, can or bottle. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone, unless you were only interested in the Margarhitas which were fabulous!
