Lined with funky bean bags, colourful umbrellas and pretty fairy lights, La Plancha is the perfect spot to watch a Bali sunset.
Located on Mesari Beach in Seminkyak, this Spanish bar is extremely popular and works on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's best to get there in the late afternoon and settle in for the view.
With a live DJ spinning reggae and chill-out beats, bare-foot waiters in Hawaiian shirts and a wide range of tapas food and cocktails, it's the ambience which makes La Plancha so appealing. Of course, there are multiple beach vendors trying to sell you anything and everything, but hey, that's to be expected in Seminyak!
However, keep in mind that La Plancha does charge tourist prices, so although it's no more than what you would pay in Australia, it's considerably more expensive than other Bali spots. In my opinion though, the view and atmosphere are completely worth it.
La Plancha is also open for breakfast and lunch, which makes it a great pit stop mid beach stroll.
