A Day Trip to La Perouse
If you are looking for somewhere to go on a day trip, La Perouse and Bare Island is the place for you. Located around 14kms from Sydney, it is rich in indigenous and cultural history and is easily accessible by bus.

On arrival, standing on the grassy knoll overlooking Bare Island, you can take in the beauty of the area. There is also lots to do whilst there, just some of these are:
The Bare Island Walk (and Bare Island Tours operate at certain times)
The La Perouse Museum
soak up the sun and tranquility of Little Congwong Beach
enjoy a picnic on the grassy knoll, whilst enjoying the view
- The La Perouse Walk
- The Henry Head Walking Track
- The Blak Markets, the first sunday of the month

and much more!

There is beauty in the rocks

It was my first visit and I went during the day in winter and it was cold. So if you plan to visit during winter, my best advice is to rug up!

I found the rocks created a stunning backdrop and the area was a great place to take photographs. So for those intrepid photographers, this might be the place for you.
