The beautiful beaches of the Gold Coast are a great place for a holiday. A great place to stay is the La Pacifique Apartments at Burleigh Heads.

Burleigh is one of my favourite parts of the Gold Coast, close to all the attractions but also far enough away from the craziness of Surfers Paradise to be a relaxing holiday. La Pacifique is just across the road from the beach and surf club and as one of the tallest buildings in Burleigh the ocean views are spectacular. The apartments have two or three bedrooms, balcony, fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, TV washing machine and dryer. There are plenty of Restaurants and bars nearby but the kitchen really does help with the budget while on holiday. There is also a pool, spa and tennis courts.

Visit the La Pacifique website for pricing and booking details, at the moment based on a four person occupancy the rate is $1050.00 for 7 nights off peak. When booking try to get on one of the higher floors and check the direction the apartment faces to make the most of the views from the balcony.

There is plenty to do around Burleigh Heads, the beach is patrolled and is also very popular with surfers. Check when some of the competitions are on as this can provide a great atmosphere and plenty to watch. The surf club offers good value meals and drinks in a great location and next door to the apartments is the Burleigh Bowls Club. With entertainment on the weekends and Barefoot Bowls on Sundays it is a fun and cheap way to pass the time.

The Shops along James Street are great to browse in and offer a selection of clothing, jewellery, gifts and surf gear. Also just up the road is the beautiful Burleigh Heads National Park, the 2.3km rainforest circuit walk around the headland is stunning.

The list of things to do here is almost endless, rent bikes and ride to Surfers Paradise along the foreshore path. Or for day trips visit the theme parks or Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary; while at Currumbin make sure you visit my favourite surf club, The Currumbin Vikings Surf Life Saving Club . The location and food will not disappoint. Another great day trip is to the rainforests and Waterfalls of Springbrook National Park.
