Located in the tranquil surrounds of Dolphin Quay Ocean Marina in Mandurah, boasts scenic views of the sea and an authentically Italian dining experience. In this sort of location the aromas of authentic Italian cuisine, with an undertone of fresh sea breeze, are hard to resist and simulate a Tuscany-style experience.

Upon entrance you are greeted with a mouth-watering smell emanating from the kitchen and a pleasant MaƮtre D' offering a choice of tables. A window seat is ideal, as even at night the sparkling lights on the water make this a special place. The service throughout the evening is impeccable, with staff having the right mixture of friendliness and formality; they are more than helpful without being obsequious, putting you immediately at ease but at the same time retaining that feel of a special night out.

The waiter had sampled the restaurant's wine list, enabling him to make a recommendation which was ideally suited to the different palates of the diners' and which complemented the meal perfectly.

The entree of mushrooms in Balsamic vinegar and olive oil was cooked to perfection and the accompanying salads were fresh, finished off with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Starters will set you back between $10 and $20.


Featuring a variety of fresh well-cooked local produce, the main was a seafood platter consisting of two varieties of fish, five prawns, scallops and plenty of octopus. The seafood was fresh, moist and perfectly cooked. The meal was once again complemented with fresh salad leaves, crisp onions, capsicum strips and dressing, finishing off a delicious meal which not only tasted great, but looked amazing.



Mains will cost you about $30 and beautiful fresh pizzas were around the $20 mark, with pasta costing around $25. Accompanying breads and salads are also an option with any meal. They are open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday.

The decor is simple yet very stylish, with a classy ambience. With a wide range of beautiful wines, and fresh pizzas cooked to perfection, this restaurant is ideal for any occasion be it a casual or formal affair. They take bookings or if you prefer to have quality fresh food at home you can order a pizza for take-away.



The restaurant often offers specials: the astonishing grilled seafood platter with local seafood, including a bottle of red or white wine, cost only $49. So keep an eye out for more deals such as this, and go and enjoy the views and smells of the sea at .

La Marinara is certainly a "must visit" if in Mandurah, but it's well worth the special trip from Perth just for the dining experience. Why not take the scenic drive down to Mandurah on the Old Coast Road alongside secluded beaches, stopping along the way to breathe in the fresh sea air and a walk along the beach? By the time you arrive you'll have worked up an appetite - especially for seafood.
