Oh, You Might Get Addicted to This French Sugar Hit
Move over macarons, eclairs are the latest craze.

Fancy, glittering French eclair

Last season we witnessed a Macaron frenzy fueled by the Parisian Patisserie Ladurée. This season it's all about eclairs.

La Maison de l'Eclair or the 'house of the eclair', is the first Sydney patisserie concept store that dedicated entirely to eclairs. Inside this adorable French cafe, you will find the most divine looking eclairs which make it impossible to walk pass without treating yourself to one of the delicacies on offer.

Yes, they also sell bright vivid macarons.

This adorable little French patisserie cafe is situated on the busy Bondi Road, only a short bus trip from Bondi Junction.

From the moment you step in, you will be wooed by their vast array of spectacular eclairs. You will feel like you are trapped in a cloud-nine sweet-delight heaven.

Be overwhelmed with the amount of dessert choice here...

This is the place where the classic éclairs are given a sexy, glittering makeover. All the eclairs look like they are entering the Miss Eclair pageant in evening gowns. This is definitely not your average patisserie cafe to say the least.

Like Parisian haute-couture fashion collections, La Maison de L'Eclair offers limited edition flavours that change with season. The patisserie chefs are very creative to come up with sophisticated and elegant combination of flavours.

We swooned over the display of eclairs for a long while. The staff were friendly and probably sensed that it was our first time there, so she gave us all the time we required.

The eclairs looked so fancy, pretty and so fairy-like with all the glitters and sparkles.

What shall we get? Such a first-world problem.

Crunchy Hazelnut $7.50 (w/ crunchy hazelnut cream)

The hazelnut eclair tasted sweet with crunchy ganache hazelnut cream in between. It was gorgeously sprinkled with hazelnut crumbs, gold glitters and topped with a full sized hazelnut macaron.

The salted caramel eclair tasted rich and intense with a sweet caramel glaze. A lovely pink macaron was placed on top with more glitter. It was an amazing dessert.

These eclairs reminded me of Disney Princesses with their stunning presentations, overly sweet and you can't help but falling in love with them.

Salted Caramel $7.50 (w/ salted caramel cream)

The latte was lovely with the sweet eclairs. We appreciated the coffee art and a complimentary biscuit.

It was a pleasant experience sitting inside and watching every customer transformed into little excited kid and deliberating on what to get.

If you are not a sweet-tooth person, you will be delighted with their novel savoury éclairs made with a buckwheat choux pastry.

At La Maison de L'eclair, where temptation is the name of the game - you will get greedy and wishing you never have to leave.
