La French Week is a monster party happening throughout Brisbane from Monday, 9 July until Sunday, 15 July, 2018 which includes
Bastille Day celebrations on Saturday, 14 July. As in any celebration of everything French
Alliance Francaise de Brisbane is helping to make this a wonderful experience for everybody and that includes the kids.
Working in conjunction with the
Brisbane City Council Libraries Alliance Francaise has arranged some wonderful events especially for the youngsters or, as they say in France,
"Voici ce qu'il y a pour les enfants".
Each event has a focus that ensures children are learning something new in a way that provides fun and laughter. The group activities offer a sense of encouragement likely to stay with them and foster a desire to learn more.
Here is what has been arranged to date:
* Celebrate le Tour de France
Children from 4 to 10 years can discover the places the
Tour de France travels through including the Alps and Pyrenees, the Atlantique Coast, Chartres and, of course, Paris. They get to take part in language games, songs, craft, yoga and a lot more.
Set down for Monday, 9 July from 9.30am to 3.30pm in Room 4, Alliance Francaise, 262 Montague Road, West End.
Cost per child for the day is $150.
The children will be divided into two age groups so make your selection and register now:
Ages
four to six years ; and
Ages
seven to ten years .
** * Célébrer les quatre saisons (Celebrate the Four Seasons)
**A celebration of the four seasons using French language, storytelling, games, songs, dance, yoga and cooking.
Join in on Tuesday, 10 July from 9.30am to 3.30pm in Room 4, Alliance Francaise, 262 Montague Road, West End.
Cost for the day is $150 per child.

* Children's Cinema: Les Contes de la Nuit
Here is a delightful and inspirational 3D journey into the space, time and traditions of the fairy tale told by the French animation master, Michel Ocelot.
To be held on Thursday, 12 July from 3.00pm at
Alliance Francaise, 262 Montague Road, West End.
Entry is
FREE.
* Le Storytime
Introduce your children aged 2 years and above to the beauties of French culture in these
FREE sessions to be held in local libraries.
Children become enthralled with the colourful illustrations in the stories and then take part in several recreational activities such as, colouring, craft and games.
Set for France's
Bastille Day, Saturday, 14 July.
