Don't be put off by the red carpet entrance, sticky bar menus, or dim lights. While La Di Da is probably better known for its drinking and dancing, the food menu certainly warrants a mention.

Mostly Italian fare (risotto, pasta, salads, pizzas), but you will find an Indian Vindaloo curry, Middle Eastern Kufteh, burgers and a few other out of left field choices.

With an extensive menu selection and all mains (except steaks) under $20, this place is sure to suit a casual dinner gathering with a large group of friends. Gluten-free and vegan options available, and other modifications of the dishes are happily followed.

Our recommendations: the pumpkin and sage gnocchi, creamy but light with a delicate flavour. The beef burger special for $15, served with steak cut chips and a house wine or pot of beer for an extra $2.50. Choice of burgers include chicken/beef/vegetarian, or choose a parma, or steak instead. The mixed seafood risotto made to request, loaded with meaty mussels, succulent calamari and king sized prawns, delicately seasoned with oregano with a tomato base.[BREAK]
Dinner is served until about 9ish, at which time lights are dimmed, music is turned up, plates cleared, and subtle hints are made to customers to move on. Stay longer if you want to dance til early hours of the morning.
