There is a new kid on the block in Cleveland, south-east of Brisbane.

Opening earlier this year, La Bouche is fast becoming a firm favourite amongst locals for their sweet and savoury pastries, buttery croissants and sourdough. I might also mention that their Bear Bones coffees are also proving popular for the morning and mid-morning caffeine fix with workers, busy mums dropping off kiddies at school and passing traffic.

The delightful owners of this Patisserie, Michael and Erin, make all products on site using French butter, Australian flour, and fresh seasonal produce from the Redlands.
Their mantra is :
Treat them sweet
Keep them sweet
Give them sweets

Look, this is not a cafe. There is no seating inside and the area is tres petite allowing just enough room to be dazzled by the offerings. Big call but I would nominate the chocolate croissants up there as some of the best.

There are bench seats outside where you can sit and devour your little piece of heaven with your coffee, though on the day I visited it was mostly take-home trade. And why not? The pastries and tartlets are boxed to make them easily transportable so next time there is an event I'll be buying pastries rather than fighting the Mix Master in my own kitchen.

Located in the industrial strip at 71 Shore Street West near the car yards, the parking bays are easily accessible.

La Bouche is open as follows:
Monday to Friday. 6:30am to 2:00pm
Saturday. 6:30am to 1:00pm
Sunday. Closed
