Baked to Perfection La Bouche Patisserie Delivers Excellence
Delicious, Delicious, Delicious! That's the only words you can say after tasting the scrumptious bakery and bread items from La Bouche in Shore Street West, Cleveland.
Situated back a little from the main flow of traffic, La Bouche has been operating in an unassuming industrial strip next door to Keema Isuzu for the past three years. Owners Michael and Erin Lutz share their passion of Parisian style pastries, petite sweets and savouries, tarts and frittatas, salads, bread and currently a range of exquisite Christmas goodies.

On the day of my visit, regulars were popping in to purchase their morning coffee and Danish delights as well as giving me heaps of great feedback on their experiences at La Bouche. This is not just another bakery, this is the real deal when it comes to bespoke style bakery items baked on-site. Michael, having worked in other places as a Chef, knows what the customer likes and deserves right down to the quality of the butter used in the baking. We all know that when baking a cake butter is so much better than margarine, but what I learnt from Michael and Erin is that there are butters and there are butters! La Bouche's croissants are made from the smoothest French butter, which allows the layers of the croissant to lay light and fluffy, making every mouthful a moreish delight.

Meeting when young at the Wellington Point High School, Michael and Erin wanted to continue their tradition of living in the Redlands and raising their family in a safe area. Through learning French at school and walking around the house reciting the words, "La Bouche", their son provided the perfect name for the business. La Bouche meaning "mouth".

Being community minded and wanting to give back to the local area, La Bouche began a give back initiative called the #breadforthebetter project, where loaf sales on the first Saturday of each month are given to a local charity or organisation to improve wellness as well as promoting growth in the Redlands community.

More information on Christmas goodies, catering, cakes and menu options can be located on their website. Gluten free cakes and tarts are made in their kitchen where other non-gluten items have been made. Every precaution is taken to produce a gluten free product, however, La Bouche cannot guarantee that something is strictly gluten free.
