La Bohème is one of the world's most popular and celebrated operatic love stories. Puccini wins the hearts of many once more with this opera. The compelling story of young love, friendship and grief along with Puccini's evocative and emotionally stirring music adds brilliantly to this tale, making La Boheme one of the world's most beautiful and heart wrenching operas.

The opera tells the audience of the life of bohemians in Paris and reveals their stories of poverty hunger, sickness and undying love intimately. This is a colourful and musical delight that will saturate your senses.

Gale Edwards' brilliant production was made in 2011 by Opera Australia, and comes to Adelaide for the first time with a brilliant cast led by a New York based South Australian conductor by the name of Kynan Johns.
