Their small plate offerings include the popular char-grilled salmon pla bon perilla leaf with fresh mint, salmon roe and citrus fruits (4 pieces/members $12.00/visitors $13.50), the salt and pepper tofu with pickled vegetables - This is one of my favourite dishes here, delicate and perfectly seasoned, I order it every visit (members $12.00/visitors $13.50), the handmade prawn and pork shumai (4 pieces/members $12.00/visitors $13.50) or the pan-fried Shanghai soup dumplings with rice vinegar dipping sauce.(5 pieces/members $13.00/visitors $14.50)

The larger plates include Black pepper Angus beef short ribs with mushrooms, red onions and celery (member $36.00/visitor $40.00), salt and chilli king prawns with chilli mayonnaise (members $30.00/visitors $33.00) or chicken curry wrapped in lotus leaf with sticky rice, garlic chives, fresh aromatics and chicken broth (members $28.00/visitors $31.00)

Side options are stir-fried duck noodles with burned chilli, Peking duck and ginger (members $13.00/visitors $14.50) or one of my favourites king brown mushroom and Shangainese rice cake with mushroom sambal, black bean and fried shiso (members $12.00/visitors $13.50)

You'll want to leave room for dessert - We like the chocolate veloute, with dachoise, malt, caramel, pandan and kaffir lime(member $13.00/visitors $14.50) the coconut rice pudding and fresh raspberries with rosewater jelly and Turkish delight ice cream (members $13.00/visitors $14.50) and the mango pudding with tapioca pearls, fresh fruit and lychee granita which is a vegan foodie's dream dessert - The lychee/mango combination is perfect and a refreshing end to the meal (members $12.50/visitors $14.00) We also love the beautiful dishes the food is served on.

There's an extensive drinks menu so it's easy to find a match for our meal and the staff are happy to assist with a recommendation. They have plenty of options from red, white, blends, varietals, dessert wines, cocktails, mocktails, beers (on tap or by the bottle) and of course, spirits.
If you're into whiskey be sure to try one of their many Japanese whiskies, like Hibiki Harmony or Hakushu (12 years old) or a Yamazaki (18 years old)
The low-lighting gives the restaurant an intimate feel, the walls feature minimalistic Asian-inspired décor and there's an eye-catching bar that we think is the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks or catching up with friends after work.
If you are in town for work, they have an Express Lunch every Friday from 12:00 noon, and it is guaranteed to have you in and out in under an hour and includes a glass of sparkling wine or Asian beer - Perfect for office lunches. (Members $25.00/Visitors $27.50).
If you're seeing a show at The CUBE Entertainment Centre, Kyūbi has a set Show Night Menu which guarantees to have you in and out before your show with booking times between 6:00 pm - 6:45 pm on the night.
