Located in the small regional town of Kyabram, Ky Country Roads Motor Inn is the perfect place to stop off and spend the night while travelling through country Victoria. Positioned towards the semi-industrial and residential area of the main street, this motor inn has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable night's rest, boasting thirteen spacious and affordable rooms for guests.
Featuring exposed brick and wood-panelled walls, the rooms are quite large, and can easily accommodate families, couples or single people looking to stay the night. Each room has a comfortable queen-size bed, and all the essentials you'd expect from your average motor inn. A large cupboard/wardrobe resides near the entrance to the room, and houses a mini-fridge, kettle, toaster, tea and coffee sachets and a few mugs. A notice just inside the door informs guests that fresh milk is available from reception. On the other side of this cupboard you will find an ironing board, iron, spare pillows and blankets.
The bathroom is very basic- you're not going to find square basins and polished chrome faucets here- but it will suit the purposes of most people. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic (especially after a long day on the road), and the old-style sliding shower doors reminded me of childhood road trips when we would stay at random country motor inns that we came across on our travels.
The room also has a small wall-mounted television just in front of the bed and in perfect viewing position. Two black leather armchairs, a desk, floral touch lamps on the bedsides, and a small table with two chairs complete the furnishings of the room.
Outside, if you walk towards the rear of the motor inn, you will discover a lovely little garden area. With a modern barbeque set up, and picnic tables underneath a large gum tree, this would be the perfect place to unwind and relax with family and friends.
Kyabram is only a small town, and there are not a lot of accommodation options available, but if you're looking for an affordable and comfortable place to rest (within walking distance of the township), then Ky Country Roads Motor Inn is the place to go.
