& #12463 ;& #12522 ;& #12540 ;& #12512 ; (Kur& #299 ;mu) Cream sounds delicious in every language.

How do you like your pastry? Freshly baked and filled to order? Such is the promise of KURIMU.

KURIMU - have you heard this word whispering around? It rolls deliciously off your tongue and has the promise of a delicious experience. The Japanese word for cream now has an added layer of meaning.

Are you one of those people who go to a wedding in the hope the bride and groom chose the croquembouche for dessert? Who dawdles by the window of the expensive cake shop ogling the pâte à choux? Aren't you always just that tad bit disappointed knowing it has been filled hours before and will never be quite so crisp as the vision of your dreams. Well, the visionaries behind PAFU and Hokkaido want to make your crisp, creamy dream a reality with KURIMU - A choux creation made to order. The sugar crystals sparkle up from the knobbly little logs. It makes your mouth water and heart leap.

I was fortunate enough to crunch into the proof that they really are delectable fantasy fillers. They have a lovely flavour that is amplified to perfection when your tongue slips across the custard inside. There are two flavours of KURIMU, traditional has a mild vanilla filling that is silky and natural. The Strawberry Kurimu is definitely for the sweet tooth amongst us. It reminded me of pink milk at Nan's when I was young.

Who can we thank for making all our dreams come true? ST Group's treats are based on authentic desserts found in Japan. You may well ask your Japanese friend how well they live up. ST Group reflects the original whilst sieving in a good dose of distinctive personality.

Each of their creations standalone but hang as friends together. ST Group's latest venture carry's through their value system of duty of care for the customer. The treat's richness is balanced with refreshing drink offerings. Sparkling lemon water to cleanse your palate and a non-alcoholic expresso martini to meet that vital need for coffee with a pastry. Designer ice pops complete this haven of imagination. The product shows in the way it is prepared and provided that the creators really care about the experience the customer gets out of it. It is best eaten straight away ... well, how could you resist? But if circumstances whisk you past that desire, there are care instructions on the website on how to restore that external crispy wowness without upsetting the custard.

Think nutty, crunchy, creamy, bliss that is directly on your way to work. KURIMU is the place to be.

How to get there:
Likely the crowd will guide you. Take the Swanston St Exit Escalator out of Melbourne Central Station and start to head towards Burke St. Just before the cafe and next to Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecakes, you will find your heart's desire.
