Crystal Brook is a small town located 198 kilometres north of Adelaide and while the mountains are not noticeable yet, claims to be the gateway to the Flinders area. Turn off Highway 1 (also known as the Port Wakefield/Port Augusta Road or Princes Highway) when you see the "Big Goana" alongside the road. The town also offers several hotels, public toilets, op-shop and second-hand antique and craft cooperative to browse through during your break. The town is loaded with historical significance and also offers a suitable destination for a luxury day-trip into the South Australia country-side.
