A country treat for lunch or snack time at Kupsch Bakery
Kupsch Bakery is situated at 46 Bowman St, Crystal Brook SA 5523. It is famous as the home of the Crystal Brook Pasty. The bakery is a family business and was established in 1963. It has been delighting visitors and locals ever since.
On a long drive, for example, from Port Augusta to Adelaide, the driver may want to stop and have a break. There is nothing better than a nice hot coffee and sweet bun or savoury pie to revive the driver and hungry passengers!
Kupsch Bakery at Crystal Brook offers a quality range of cakes and pastries, fetta and spinach rolls and kranskies. They also make breads, rolls and their sandwiches are freshly cut. The bakery also offers an air-conditioned eating area, which is decorated with works of art.
Crystal Brook is a small town located 198 kilometres north of Adelaide and while the mountains are not noticeable yet, claims to be the gateway to the Flinders area. Turn off Highway 1 (also known as the Port Wakefield/Port Augusta Road or Princes Highway) when you see the "Big Goana" alongside the road. The town also offers several hotels, public toilets, op-shop and second-hand antique and craft cooperative to browse through during your break. The town is loaded with historical significance and also offers a suitable destination for a luxury day-trip into the South Australia country-side.
