It can be hard to find cheap holiday activities for kids. While cooking classes are fantastic they cost $50 or up, so if you have a couple of kids, it becomes quite expensive.

So doing a bit of food decorating for $6.50 per child is a nice alternative, as it gets kids involved in doing something creative with food. And who doesn't like a Krispy Kreme doughnut every once in a while?
Children come in and are given their little retro-style paper hats (the original recipe of Krispy Kreme doughnuts harks back to the 1930s) and then set to work on their creations. They each get two doughnuts to decorate, as well as pots of icing and a host of decorative toppings. The toppings I've shown are indicative only and may vary from store to store.
They leave with their special box of creations and a balloon.
Children must be aged 4 or above and a carer needs to remain during the event. But hey, this is going to mean a bit of a coffee break for you during the frazzled school holidays.
Doughnut Decorating will happen on select dates from January, 3rd 2019 until January, 31st 2019, so you can book a date in the future and add it to the holiday itinerary. This is not a drop in event as you book and pay online.
