Playground, tennis courts and lots of grassy space
Acres of grassy space, dogs running free, tennis courts and a decent kids' playground - welcome to Kotara Park. Located between Agincourt and Abuklea Roads in Marsfield, this large park is the perfect spot for a family outing all year round.

Entering via Abuklea Road, the first thing you come to is the small-ish playground. Featuring toddler spring riders, swings and a slide, it'll keep youngsters amused for a while.

The playground is also fenced, which gives parents that extra peace of mind while their kids are playing, and there's a couple of seats so weary mums can put their feet up. Next to this you'll find the tennis courts, which are usually pretty popular on weekends.

The eight courts are available for hire all year round and there is plenty of seating if you prefer to watch rather than play. Make sure to pack your tennis racquet if you're calling in at this park.

Heading past the tennis courts you find a large expanse of mown grass. Sloping gently up towards Agincourt Road, this grassy space is perfect for a picnic or a family ball game. There's not all that much shade, however, so make sure to apply plenty of sunscreen.

Kotara Park is a dog off-leash area, a place where you can take your pooch to roam around without having to drag you along as well. It's a great place to exercise your dog, and also means you don't have to leave Rover behind when heading out for a family picnic. You can view a map of the off-leash area here.

Ample off-street parking is available near the tennis courts, and you can find out more information about Kotara Park on the City of Ryde council website.
