The selection of food stalls and food trucks from this rich and vibrant country will enable you to explore the nation's powerhouse of authentic tastes. Although heavily influenced by neighbouring China, Korean cuisine is as unique as it is tasty. There will be many side dishes to tempt you such as the popular
kimchi - a Korean fermented cabbage/radish dish. There will also be rice dishes, spicy soups, noodles, and the famous Korean Barbecue.
Visitors will experience Taekwondo demonstrations - Korean martial arts. It was developed after World War II and combined Japanese karate with Korean and Chinese martial arts. It has grown in popularity since becoming an Olympic Sport at Sydney in 2000 and it has been a Commonwealth Games sport since 2010. It has head-high kicks, jumping and spinning kicks. It uses speed, agility and power but also has a gentler philosophy. The overarching goal is a peaceful society, and respect and courtesy are integral tenets of the sport. It is a spectacular, fast sport and great for spectators.
