The hot rods are rolling into town on Saturday 23rd September for some display action and car boot shopping fun out in the heart of Koo Wee Rup. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Turningpoint Church and the local Men's Shed, residents and visitors alike are being invited to come escape the city for a day and enjoy a little treasure hunting in the green pastures and fresh air.
Starting bright and early at 7am (wow, this is surely an event for the early birds) the Car Boot Sale is going to be a thriving hive of secondhand wares, sure to attract plenty of bargain-hunting bees. The banner promises bric'a'brac and books, toys, clothes and plants along with a variety of things to eat and drink, including a sizzling BBQ and freshly roasted coffee.
Stallholders are welcome to apply and this feisty little country market is the perfect incentive to start your massive spring cleanout. Explore the cupboards and darkest corners of your shed and yard, then bring along all that unwanted stuff to sell. This is an easy way to make some extra money for Christmas especially as sites are only $20 per stallholder.
Alongside the market, car enthusiasts will appreciate the smoking hot, hot rod show. They dazzle, they gleam, they are living tributes to the history of motoring. For car owners interested in being part of this event, please contact organisers on 0402 316 108.
