Next time you're in the Melbourne CBD - make a beeline for KokoBlack, a wonderful establishment which specialises in creating scrumptious chocolate desserts, chocolate beverages, chocolate tasting platters, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cakes, chocolate brownies, chocolate biscuits ... well, you get the picture! With beautiful decor and a spacious 'salon' littered with intimate tables for two, aswell as roomy couches for groups of friends, KokoBlack is a great place to relax and spoil yourself.


After being greeted by the friendly staff, you will have a range of inspired chocolate creations to choose from and you will have a hard time deciding as there are many delights on the menu for example the 'Ice Cream' Martini' ($8.95) a rich creamy chocolate ice-cream, layered with chocolate sauce and topped with a chocolate garish! Another esteemed creation is the 'Belgian Chocolate Mousse Martini' ($8.95) a tall, rich and delectably delicious dessert! There is also the 'Ice Cream Spoil Plate' ($11.50) a selection of specialist ice-creams to devour, including vanilla bean, chocolate, dulce de leche and leatherwood honey.

KokoBlack's famous 'Belgian Chocolate Mousse Martini'


If you just want to sample the handmade chocolates with hot chocolate or iced chocoate, there are many platters to choose from - the 'Belgian Spoil for Two' ($23.00) is a popular choice as two will get to indulge in samples of rich chocolate cakes, handcrafted Belgian chocolates, rich shortbread, chocolate ice-cream and chocolate mousse with either the choice of a hot chocolate or iced chocolate beverage. Also you can choose the 'Tea Cake Selection for Two' ($21.00) in which you can choose two items from the patisserie and either hot chocolate or iced chocolate. If you want to try something different try the 'Belgian Hot Chocolate' with chilli ($5.75) it is also available in a cinnamon or chocolate mocha blend. A range of coffee, tea and fruit are also available as well as beverages created for children.

Don't forget to visit the chocolate shop on your way out to take some of the beautiful treats home with you!
