Riverside Teppanyaki
Kobe Jones Japanese restaurant is right in the heart of Melbourne's Southbank and Docklands lifestyle precinct, on the northern bank of the Yarra directly opposite the Polly Woodside, and that makes it readily accessible by road, on foot or on the water.

Guests can dine a la carte on modern Japanese dishes or teppanyaki – a style of Japanese cooking coming from the words 'teppan' meaning iron plate and 'yaki' meaning grilled, boiled or pan-fried. Literally translated it means grilling on an iron plate.

Teppanyaki is not only a great meal but comes with its own entertainment, guests seated around the teppan grill and the chefs performing intricate manoeuvres with knives, forks and spatulas as they prepare, cook and present their dishes.

Common ingredients used in western style teppanyaki include beef, chicken, scallops, prawns, lobster and vegetables cooked in soybean oil. The end result is a gastronomic delight.

Japanese cuisine is based on emphasising the quality of ingredients and a dedication to simplicity – fewer ingredients only lightly manipulated and featuring very clean flavours. Choose a la carte or teppanyaki, either way, you can be sure the highly skilled team at Kobe Jones will present you with a true Japanese taste sensation.

Be sure to check out the Kobe Jones website for full details and to make a reservation.
