Value meals which are tasty and give the cook a night off
It seems to me, as a retiree, that I tend to find myself gallivanting most days, though unfortunately, with a smaller pool of cash in my wallet. That's okay because retirees have time to become canny.
So being thrifty I've latched on to a great little outing that comes with minimal costs: the Seniors Meals at the Koala Tavern in Capalaba.
The Koala Tavern is located next door to Capalaba Central Shopping Centre, making it accessible by public transport (bus) and with plentiful car parking. It means that you can dine out after shopping or a movie, or just meet up with friends or family for a meal that is tasty and doesn't break the bank.
It's a clean and tidy venue and there is no doubt that it's a pub. I found the customer service extremely good and not only that, the Seniors Meals are available for both lunch and dinner (upon presentation of Seniors Cards, of course).
Those seniors prices are very good. My husband and I take advantage of seniors prices whenever we can as the saving is significant. I've only been retired since last May and its taken me a while to rember to ask for seniors prices and iscounts but I'm getting into the groove.
