I am a world traveller who likes to learn new places and faces, wander with my man wherever the wind blows, and bring my three young adventurers along for the ride. I also love a good coffee.

Ice cream to scream for
If ice cream merged with heaven, it would be at Knudsen's Ice Creamery in Castro Valley.
From the entrance, kids have a lot to do. The games require money to play, but my kids like to pretend to play all of them, even when they've spent all their pocket money.
The food is typical creamery fare, but served better. The ice cream is the tippy top. It's pure deliciousness. The Ice Creamery has a remarkable candy counter. I'm pretty sure they make the wide variety of candies here themselves.
The caramel apples dipped in fudge are awesome.
The candy offerings are both traditional and creative. They homemake ice cream cakes and sauces. We've bought them to take home. Very good.

There are two little car rides for the kiddos.

They cost 50 cents a ride. When not occupied by someone with quarters, kids play in them without riding.

There's an ice cream cart available for rent, also.
My kids love it here and so do I. There's a great little theater within walking distance along the newly updated Castro Valley Boulevard. It only shows one movie at a time, which is also old fashioned fun. The Ice Creamery and the Chabot Theater are a nice pairing for family outings.
Hope you get a chance to stop by.
