On Sunday 19 November 2017, it will be time for all pets to gather up their humans and bring them down to Gilbert Park Reserve in Knoxfield.
The Knox Council will hold its annual Knox Pets in the Park and everyone is welcome. This important community event aims to teach us about responsible pet ownership and treat the whole family to a fun day of free entertainment and giveaways.
There will be a large exhibitor area featuring gourmet pet food, accessories, toys, grooming and even some handy tips to help you train your cheeky pets.
Stop by and check out the clever working cattle dog demonstrations and say hello to the cute furry and feathered friends at the Animal Farm. There will be a lure course to test out your pooches speed, free kids' rides, live entertainment on the stage, food and more.
And as not all pets are furry or feathered, visit the reptile, creepy crawly and native animal display which includes a crocodile. Remember, never smile at a crocodile!
The main stage will feature a variety of talks and performances by Animals of Oz, Victor and Victoria and The Mik Maks.
There will also be several fun pet competitions. Maybe you have a pet who can do an awesome trick? Or perhaps your best buddy will take out the best-dressed category? If you think you have a champ in the family, enter them into one or both of the competitions. Check out the website for details on how to enter. Entries close 12pm Friday 17 November 2017.
To remember the day, there will be a free photo booth where you can have your photo taken with your pet.
