There's something about winter that just wants you to bring out your wool and knitting needles and get clacking. It's the kind of weather that makes you want to go wool shopping like a drug. Hence you might just enjoy the
World Wide Knit In Public Day Event being held at the
Prospect Library, Payinthi, 128 Prospect Road, Prospect on
Saturday 10 June 2023 from 1pm to 4pm ACST. A free event, all you need to do is
register here to secure your spot. Bring along your work in progress and join like-minded others to sit and knit in a comfy chair while you listen to a talk by
Pru Raymond about the Australian Wool Industry.
Afternoon tea will be served with a wonderful spread of cakes, tea and coffee for all to enjoy, plus there'll be hand-dyed yarn from local artisans you can purchase. Connect with others through making at this international phenomena that draws in all knitters from novices, experts and the curious together to knit, chat and enjoy spreading the wonderful craft in an inclusive and supportive environment.
