What could be more quaint and pleasant than escaping to a seaside village for a good, old fashioned knitting session at a popular local restaurant?
Knit a Bit on Thursday is a new event taking place at Cafe Ibiza in Avalon (47 Old Barrenjoey Road). The experience will be a weekly meet up for novice and intermediate crafters and those looking for company while knitting or crocheting. Cafe Ibiza will provide a venue to work on your project and expert instructors; participants will need to bring their own knitting needles or crocheting hook and yarn.
This event will commence on Thursday 5 May and will take place every Thursday from 10.00am until 11.30am. Each session will cost $10.50, which includes morning tea and knitting or crocheting instruction if necessary. Participants can make a booking by calling (02) 9918 3965 or by showing up at Cafe Ibiza on Thursday mornings.
Cafe Ibiza is a rustic dining establishment located in Avalon, about an hour's drive north of Sydney. The restaurant offers a sunny al fresco dining area and a cosy indoor space complete with wood burning fire. Cafe Ibiza serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and provides special menus for Celiacs and children under the age of twelve. It is open from 8.00am until late.
