The loudest com on the planet
As with many people, I do not like listening to the conventional top 40 pop music that is readily available on the local radio. I prefer to listen to metal and rock music. However after perusing aimlessly online to see if I could find any information about alternative radio stations that would suit my taste, I eventually stumbled across KNAC.com.
The best part about KNAC.com is that they do not play the 'normal' pop radio mix that you can find anywhere, they play only rock, metal and heavy metal music genres. I was extremely excited, except for one thing, they were based in America, which meant I could not just tune into the radio whenever I wanted and listen to them. The way around this is to listen to the streaming online. So this is what I did.
Thankfully I have an internet contract that allows me to use a large amount without costing me any extra. This may be something you need to look into. Although the streaming is free, it may use up your internet data requirements.
At first I was extremely confused about how to start live streaming online. I had never undertaken such a task but decided I would step outside of my safety zone and give it a go.
The following information has been provided as a way of walking through the process with you, so that you too can successfully listen to KNAC.com on your computer or compatible device.
At the top of the screen, you will see the word 'Listen'.
Click once on this
A new page will then appear
You need to select the appropriate player or stream for your system. To be honest I experimented and kept clicking on each until it worked. That shows my level of IT expertise. You may have more luck than me.
I was eventually successful with M/Player MP3 - This was the only one that would work on my computer. It was not compatible with my mobile phone and I am unsure about other possible workable devices. You will soon be advised if your device does not support the chosen file. Keep trying and you will get there.
Click on the correct icon
Once successful, a new screen will appear.
This screen shows you that the music is playing.
To see what is currently playing, go back to the main page and refresh the screen. You will see in the top left of the screen the name of the song and the band that is playing.
That is it. You are now ready to listen to the most awesome metal and rock music from around the world and from a variety of different decades.
I am addicted and no doubt if this is your type of music, you will be too.
