Get ready for a tree-jump from 20m high & 600m flying fox
Come and experience the iconic Spessart Nationalpark about 60min east of Frankfurt. Once you leave the Autobahn, you will experience the beauty of the national park and you can literally imagine what it could have been like hundreds of years back.
This is one of Germany's Treetop Adventures and it lets you get close and personal with native German wildlife and its magnificent forests, as you climb, weave and fly through the tree tops on self-guided rope courses.
A) You can flex your adventurous spirit and test yourself mentally and physically with 8 obstacle courses to choose from. These courses contain rope ladders, wobbly bridges, tunnels, cargo-nets, sip lines and many more! This is a guaranteed fun adventure for the whole family, friends, parties etc!
B) The second obstacle course available is for the smaller kids – under 1.35m hight – who also want to test how brave they are or show off how brave they are. The kids have 3 obstacle courses to complete. Once done, they can complete them as many times as they like.
C) The spectacular 600m long Flying Fox will make you cry out for joy (ok, maybe also because you will be terrified) by the sheer length and depth of the little valley that you will be crossing. I certainly wished it would have been even longer, but my husband didn't …. Hahahahaha.
D) Last but not least you can get to experience the famous Tree-Jump. Get stuck into a vertical climb of 20m up one of the tall trees and then JUMP! The first couple of meters you will experience the beauty of free-falling, after which you will be gently slowed down back to the safety of Mother Earth - Adrenalin in it purest version!!!
E) And yes for those not so adventurous but wanting see what their family and friends get up to there is a nice little German bistro with snacks, sausages and some of Germany's delicious beers to choose from. Tip make sure you try "Keilers" beer locally brewed!!
F) Another feature of this adventure park is the water playground and a wildlife park particularly enjoyable for the very small ones and the kids who have finished with their obstacle courses.
Safty First ... 5 Star Safety Rating @Kletterwald Heigenbrücken
I can only recommend this Tree Top Adventure Park to anyone visiting the area. Its heaps of fun and you get close to nature. If you are staying in Frankfurt make a daytrip out to this beautiful Spessart National Park, visit some old fortresses and castle and or enjoy the little restaurants and beer gardens trying local wine and beer.

Check out some castles and forts from the middle ages such as
Nostalgic Lohr on the river Main (this is where the fairy tale about Snow White has its origin), Gelnhausen, Schloss Philipsruhe (Hanau)
How to get there:
By Car: Get onto the Autobahn A3, Exit Weibersbrunn direction Heigenbrücken (15km), follow the instructions in Heigenbrücken to the Kletterpark
By Train: Get to the train station Heigenbrücken (train line Frankfurt/Würzburg) – I recommend taking a taxi up to the Kletterwald
Bicycle: There are heaps of tracks all through the Spessart National Park, so if you are staying local or taking your bike on the train with you it's a short but steepish ride up the hill
