From Tuesday 10 to Sunday 15 December, there will be all sorts of festivities and a series of qualifying races including Australia's longest kiteboarding race (taking place on Saturday 14 December) where competitors will be racing at high speed traversing 19km of Indian Ocean. There definitely will be a lot of excitement and masses of action watching the races, I'll tell you that much.
While there are plenty of racing shenanigans, there will also be heaps of fabulous fun around the Event Village suitable for all kinds of adults and kids. Learn some kiting skills from the experts at beginner kiting clinics; watch awesome live music performances every day; fill your tummy with scrumptious food and drinks from the pop-up stalls; and check out highlights from the competition on the big screen.
What's more, roving entertainers will be out and about bringing smiles to everyone's face; loads of free twilight movies will be on offer at the beachside so pack a picnic and get ready to relax; and fantastic beach sports displays will be wooing and wowing crowds with their Surf Life Saving shows as well as beach volleyball and beach cricket fun. Who knows, it may even inspire you to take up a new sport this summer!
