Activities running in this two day event include kite displays, aerobatics and kite workshops, with 100s of different kites of all shapes and sizes to marvel at, including Special kites by Peter Lynn from New Zealand with Simon & Lindel Chrisnall.
There will be multiple stalls including kites, food and art and craft. Also up for grabs is the chance to win a spectacular glider flight, tickets are only $1.00. For a full list of events visit the website.
The event will run between 10am and 4pm on Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday. Only 35 minutes from Brisbane, Redcliffe is an easy drive and accessible to public transport.
The event attracts more than 20,000 people each year so whether you are a kite enthusiast or looking for a fantastic day out with a difference than Kitefest 2012 is not to be missed.
