%%Let's go fly a kite up to the highest height,
Let's go fly a kite and send it soaring,
Up in the atmosphere, Up where the air is clear,
Oh let's go fly a kite%%

Ah, the freedom and fun of an afternoon with Mary Poppins.

The shores of Pelican Park, Clontarf, will be transformed into a Mary Poppins wonderland with kites galore. Kids and adults alike will enjoy seeing the flying mermaid, flying frog and flying polar bear in a rainbow sea of colour.

At Kitefest , kids (and the young at heart) can make their own kite for $3, maybe take your own or just watch the mega kites soar. Watching the giant kites of Peter Lyn from New Zealand, will be well worth the visit.

There will be amusement rides, over 100 craft and food stalls and around midday each day of the festival, Yak 52 Warbird planes will perform aerobatic displays.

This is the perfect opportunity to teach kids to fly kites and learn all about wind, with plenty to keep all the family occupied.
