Mark your diaries for a fun day out. An event that has the power to unglue your children from their phone and tablet screens and make them look at the sky.

After 4 successful years, the kite festival is coming to St. Ives this year.

On Sunday the 15th of March 2020, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm kites will colour the skies of St. Ives Showground.

If you're looking for an activity to entertain your whole family, and you don't want to break the bank, take this opportunity and make a great summer day out for FREE!

Although Kite flying is the main activity of the day, there will be a variety of delicious food, fun activities and rides for kids. There will be kite stalls and a live DJ will be entertaining the crowd.

Kites and threads will be available at the venue and no outside kite and threads will be allowed inside the venue due to restricting council regulations.

If you are not an expert at flying kites, do not worry, bring a rug, picnic basket, folding chairs, sunglasses, sunscreens, and hats. Enjoy the food, music and the fantastic colourful sky.

Don't forget to bring your camera if you're looking for Instagram worthy photo opportunities.

Enjoy the sky show and let your imagination soar with the kites. You might be able to spot flying cars, pianos and penguins.

Make sure to register your interest at www.getmytickets.com.au .

Quote of the day: Imagination is the highest kite one can fly. Lauren Bacall
