It is very likely that aspiring kitchen gardeners find themselves having to deal with pests or diseases in their crop. The Pest and Disease workshop at Little Sprouts Kitchen Garden in Adelaide Botanic Gardens on 24 October 2021 will help participants learn how to deal with these annoyances.

At the workshop, participants will learn about the weeds, pests and diseases common to South Australia and what methods can be used to control them. A notable aspect is learning about Integrated Pest Management (IPM), ensuring pests are dealt with in a manner that respects the environment. Also covered in the workshop is how to diagnose plants problems which includes knowing the symptoms of nutrient deficiency.
