Grab a bargain, find a treasure or donate to a great cause
Garage sales. They're a great way of off-loading things you don't need anyone, finding a hidden treasure (or buying "stuff you don't need and will never use," says my husband!). Ok, so maybe garage sales aren't for my hubby, but I LOVE them - especially when the proceeds go to a good cause.
I was pretty excited to learn that Kippax Uniting Church is holding one of their tri-annual garage sales this month, Saturday 25 June 2016.
The garage sale is a great way "for people in our community to have access to affordable second-hand goods and as a fundraiser". It's a fun event for the whole family and will include: 1. Morning tea 2. A sausage sizzle (this will keep hubby happy!) 3. A jumping castle (that's the kids sorted) 4. Great bargains and lots of fun.

How you can get involved: 1. Kippax Uniting Church will happily accept donations of good quality second-hand goods such as clothing, books, furniture and other household items. Donations will be accepted on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (22-24 June) before sale day. Read more about how to make a donation and the items they can accept here.
2. Volunteers are the backbone of the event and anyone who can volunteer their time – even just for an hour is encouraged to get in touch. There are a variety of roles available to suit skills and time available. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help out.
