There are many ways of inspiring harmony within a diverse and multi-cultura and /multi-faith community. One of these mediums is the fine arts. The City of Kingston is supporting the Kingston Interfaith Network to organize their annual
arts exhibition . It is said that art is a common language between all cultures. The theme for this arts exhibition is "Humanity, Harmony and Happiness", which means that each piece of art has been produced keeping this theme in mind.
The exhibition will be on display at the
St Nicholas Gallery in Mordialloc from
4th to 23rd August, 2014. There are two special events related to the exhibition. The Opening Night will be held on
5th August 2014 at 6pm, an occasion to meet the organizers and the interfaith network members. If you are interested in meeting the artists themselves,
17th August will present you with that opportunity, when the panel of artists will come together to talk about what inspired them to create their piece of art. This panel discussion will take place from
2pm to 4pm. The regular gallery hours for the arts exhibition are
Monday to Thursday 12pm to 3pm and Saturday 10am to 1pm. There is
no cost associated with the events or the exhibition. The exhibition promises to be thought-provoking, spreading a message of peace and harmony.
