Kingsbury Drive Community Market

Published May 23rd 2011
Every Sunday between 9am and 1pm, Latrobe University's Bundoora campus springs to vigour with the Kingsbury Drive Community Market. With over 100 stallholders, the market offers a range of things like fresh produce, new and old goods, homemade products, bric-a-brac, fresh food et al.

Buy garden fresh fruits and vegetables at reasonably cheap rates, select bouquets of fresh flowers at amazingly low prices or pick a flowerpot, plant seeds and garden manure from one of the stalls. There are bargain spots for toys, books, clothes, jewellery and other accessories, home decoration items, customised picture frames and more.

There are many stalls serving fresh food Turkish delicacies, oven fresh breads, homemade dips, jams and preserves, cupcakes, hot dogs, roasted peanuts, freshly squeezed juices, coffee et al. Roving buskers often perform catchy little routines in the area.

There is plenty of parking space (Car Park 1 and 2). There is easy access for wheelchairs and strollers. Dogs are welcome so you'll spot many people with their four-legged cuties.

To book a stall, contact DVCS on (03) 9435 8282 between 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Wednesday. For further details, click here.
