Try free ping pong, chess or free cycle around Fremantle
Kings Square at Fremantle offers activities that can be enjoyed for free. Forget about the hustle and bustle in the town centre, and challenge a friend or family member to a game of chess or ping pong.
Take advantage of the unique set up of chess. The concrete floor is being your chess board, take turns moving the extra-large pawns, rooks, bishops, knights and the king and queen. The large chess pieces are locked up, so you will have to ask the friendly staff inside the visitor centre for their assistance. They are located in Kings Square, and speaking from my own personal experience, the staff members were very helpful.
Playing ping pong was fun and entertaining. You can play 2 or 4 players and there are 2 colourful artistic tables to choose from. The surrounding tables and chairs matched the colour scheme, offering seating to the public. Please note if no bats or plastic balls are available, ask at the visitor centre, they will be happy to supply you with the equipment.
Locks and helmets are also provided. What a great way to explore Fremantle. A bond is required for the bikes, $200 for standard bikes, $500 for the cargo and electric bikes. Please click here for more information. I will definitely take advantage of this offer next time i visit Fremantle.
