Sat 27 Feb 2016 - Sun 28 Feb 2016

This weekend the much maligned suburb of Kings Cross, will be dusting off its bohemian and artistic heritage and once again playing host to the Kings Cross Festival. With most events scheduled on Saturday, 27 February and Sunday, 28 February 2016 there will also be events throughout March 2016.

The Festival is organised by the Potts Point Partnership with sponsorship from local business and will celebrate the rich and diverse cultural and artistic community that is Kings Cross. The Festival will donate a percentage of funds from the festival to the Wayside Chapel and will show that there is more to this unique suburb than its notorious and shady past.

If you are a foodie, the festival will allow you to sample from participating local restuarants, cafes and bars at events over the weekend.

If communal eating, seated outdoors under stars and twinkly laneway lights sounds inviting, be sure to join the Llankelly Long Table event, at Llankelly Long Table, with culinary delights, boutique tipples and a live DJ.

The Llankelly Long Table will be held on Saturday starting at 5pm. Check out the delicious sounding menu, with food from Waterman's Lobster Co , Osaka Bar , KL Kitchen , Pizza Boccone , LL Wine and Dine , Bang Tang and The Roosevelt.

The Llankelly Long Table is a no-booking-required, no entry fee affair. Simply arrive at Llankelly Place (Darlinghurst Road or Orwell Street) purchase tokens to use at the outdoor bars and restaurants and sit at the long communal tables. Enjoy yummy food and drinks from the Laneway Bars. Beer from Young Henry's , wine from Waterman's and cocktails from The Roosevelt will be served and tap your toes to the resident DJ.

The event is a BYO, chairs, picnic rugs, food and drinks or you can use the services of the Festival partner Deliveroo who for a fee will deliver food form local restuarants.

It will be an all encompassing experience for the eyes and ears as you immerse yourself in the creative partnership of street artist Dolan Reskov and National Art School Graduate Juliette Furio. The artists describe their collaboration as "colourful, expressive, beautiful and chaotic."

There is The 24 Hour Project Exhibition opening 6 - 8pm on Thursday 3rd March. Using Instagram the project will document humanity on a global scale in one single day.
