With 100 metre gorges, running creeks, hidden gardens and dome shaped mountains,
is magnificent and worth the visit.
If you are feeling fit, take the hike up the steep stairs known to locals as Heart Attack Hill and follow the track to see some of the most wondrous views of the canyon on a three hour hike.
Be sure to take plenty of water and prepare yourself for the harsh conditions as the weather in this region is often hot. Ensure you consume at least one litre of water an hour and slip slop slap.
If you aren't feeling that energetic you can also set off on shorter walks offering just as beautiful views from rockery, creeks and gardens to some spectacular views of the area.
is a part of Watarrka National Park 23 km south west of Alice Springs and 1316 km south of Darwin.
