Sunday 22 March 2020 from 11am to 4pm is the date and time for a whole lotta fun at the Kinglake Country Fair, 1 Recreation Rd, Kinglake West. Get your TICKETS on the day of the event at the Main Gate. RIDE TICKETS can also be bought at the Main Gate or the Ticket Booth located on the Fair Ground. If you'd like to be a part of the Fair as a VOLUNTEER send in an Application.
There's more competitions than you can poke a stick at, at this Fair. If you've got a competitive streak laced with good sportsmanship and simply enjoy having a great time, for an average $10 entry fee, fill out the Competition Entry Form and pick the event you're interested in as listed below, but on the form. From ages 8 to 20 plus, there's a competition to suit everyone.
The King & Queen of the Mountain race will really separate the Men from the Boys and the Women from the Girls as competitors run a 1.6km course carrying an 18kg sack. The Prince & Princess of The Mountain Race is a new event for this year and it'll have participants run 800 metres carrying a 3kg sack. The male and female winner of this event will each receive a family pass from generous sponsors Funfields Water Park Whittlesea and O'Brien Icehouse.
Hope you don't mind feeling tied up for the One Armed Tradie comp as you'll race to build a challenge project with minimal tools with one arm tied behind your back. Cake Eating sounds like a sweet walk in the park, but can you do it ungraciously, shovelling it down faster than a speeding bullet over everyone else? You'd want to be in it to win it with these comps as you have a chance to win cash prizes.
Cake Decorating is a little more work than just shovelling it down, but you get a chance to show your decorating prowess using icing and sugar products. Find all the details HERE and SEE HERE for Terms & Conditions.
Competitions are always fun to watch, but there's more to enjoy at the Fair. Get yourself an unlimited rides ticket and enjoy all the carnival rides. There's market stalls to browse, food trucks to keep you fed, face painting and pony rides for the kids, community group stalls and demonstrations, main stages filled with live music and so much more. Walk, slither or slide into this event and enjoy a bit of the old and new in the different activities planned for the day.
