Looking for somewhere new to tantalise the taste buds? Well you could do a lot worse than taking a stroll down , a pretty, cosmopolitan high street just to the south of the CBD. King William Street merges into south of the parkland.

There's a fine choice of restaurants/cafes to choose from whether you're looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Although I can't profess to have dined in them all, I can recommend the ones I have visited. And if you just fancy a coffee,a glass of wine or a bottle of beer then it's a great place for sitting at a pavement terrace people watching.

For a truly authentic pizza made how they should be (and we've sampled a few on numerous trips to Italy) try Antica Pizzeria , which prides itself, rightfully so, on creating traditional napoletana dishes. Be sure to book a table, it's always very busy.

Stumps Bar has an excellent menu serving up modern Australian fare. Breakfast is always a busy affair as customers enjoy the start of the day with the newspaper, a coffee, and perhaps a egg and bacon roll.

A particular favourite of mine is Zahr .

The food in this Lebanese Mezze Cafe Bar really is exceptional.
We've eaten in Zahr a few times now and every time has been a great experience. Up to now I've tried Mana'eesh (Lebanese pizza), quite a few of the mezze dishes, and the vegetarian sharing platter. I say 'up to now' as we'll be sure to visit again as we enjoyed all the dishes i mentioned very much.

But it's difficult to keep going back to the same place as there's so many others to choose from. We enjoyed a modern Korean meal at Giwa on Friday night after sampling a few delicious cocktails in the newest addition to KWR, The Flying Trunk. This is a fantastic place to unwind with friends. The cocktail list has some weird and wonderful creations. Rosemary infused vodka with prosecco? You've come to the right place!

Then to Spats for dessert, a place I find difficult to describe. An Edwardian dessert house that also happens to serve up traditional Turkish food as you sit round your table in a candlelit booth? I'll leave you to make your own mind up about it, but personally I love it.

Maybe when I've tried a few more of the places on KWR I'll write an article entitled '' Pt II', but for now I can only tell you about the places I have visited. There's plenty information on the KWR website .

Have fun!
