The King of Cakes is a traditional European bakery cafe which
specialises in creating authentic German and Bavarian cakes, pastries and freshly baked breads.

At the King of Cakes, you can try traditional tasty German breads, such as Sauerkraut Bread and Frankenlaib, traditional cakes such as Hazelnut Gugelhupf and Beesting, and divine pastries, such as Sweet Cheese Plunder and Windbeutel. There are quite a few traditional German and Bavarian cakes, pastries and breads on offer, you can view the full range on the King of Cakes website, located here.

In addition to these offerings, various celebration cakes are also available. There are colourful children's birthday cakes and christening cakes for boys and girls, elegant engagement cakes and wedding cakes, and more adventurous offerings, such as the Halloween cake and the Pirate birthday cake. You can view the full celebration cake range here.

The Royal Cakes selection includes the traditional German Cheesecake, Esterhazy, Linzer Torte and Pischinger Torte - these cakes can also be decorated with a personal message or sugar print photograph.

Plus the team at the King of Cakes are also happy to custom-bake a unique cake for your celebration and they offer a catering service as well. Just head to their online shop for further information.

If you want a small treat, the Graceville and Taringa stores also include a cafe. At these locations you can sample there dessert slices - perhaps a Black Forest slice or Death by Chocolate slice or try one of their savoury pies - there are quite a few to choose from; Goulash pie, Chunky Steak pie, Steak, Bacon And Cheese Pie and Thai Chicken Curry Pie are just some of the savoury pie options. If you are unable to visit the the King of Cakes bakery cafes, you can sample their various delights at Jan Power's Market events; see here for details.
