I found it by accident. I drove past once, too busy rushing to the place I wanted to get to. But I made sure I stopped the next time I was in the Dandenong Ranges. I was surprised. I was pleasantly surprised.

This house at the bottom of the hill, surrounded by leafy treas and beautiful flowers is a picture in itself. Walk through the gates where His Majesty Henry VIII greats you from flag posts. Open the front door with his royal likeness etched in the glass. Stay inside or walk through the house and get an outdoor table, your choice.

Come for breakfast (served all day) or for lunch. Have a coffee and a cake too. Sit back. Relax. Enjoy. Look around. Breathe. The owners and operators made sure that once you sit down at their table you would want to come back again and again.

The coffee is very good. Serves are generous. Cakes are to be beheaded for (in King's Henry tradition).
