Melbourne is known for a few things, two of which being good food and alley ways were you can get good food at a cheap price. However if you don't have 30 dollars to shell out for a cheap eats guide, which is really money better spent on a meal, you have to engage in some strategic search engine navigation. Well Google no more new Melburnians, I present Kim Sing.
Located literally meters from the steps of Flinders street Station in the Port Phillip Arcade, Kim Sing does not boast a decorative setting, and it might do well to a something to the stark white walls. But its food more than makes up for its setting.
It would do well to have a vague idea of what you want before you order, the menu boast a delight of Asian food some of which standard some you may never have had. One you order and get over the shock of the price, beef steak with fried rice will cost you a mere $6.80 and the prices don't waver for the rest of the menu much, you take your heavy steel number and search for a place in the cafeteria communal tables.
Your meal won't take long at all to come out, and once it is there and you get over the awkwardness of reaching over strangers for the chilli or soy sauce, or even having a conversation with other people you don't know near you Kim Sing is a great place for a quick in expensive meal.
